My Profile
1. How do I edit my profile?
After you are logged in, click on "My Profile" to access your Profile page. There, click the "Edit my Profile" link to change details such as your contact number, e-mail address, password etc
2. Where can I change my avatar?
You can change and select your preferred avatar in your Profile page.
3. Can I change the colour and font size of the site?
Yes, you can! Select any of the four colour themes (vibrant orange, cool blue, fiery red, mellow grey) by clicking on the colour icons at the top of the page. You can also increase or decrease the font size of the page by clicking on

4. What are my points for? How do I gain more points?
Various points are awarded to you when you perform certain actions in our community, such as asking a question on iAsk.iAnswer. The more points you get, the higher your rank, the more credible you sound. And if you hit our highest rank - Guru, you will be able to edit articles in Big Fact Book.
Click on the iAsk button on the top of the page and fill up the fields to ask your question! Take note that you need to be logged in before you can ask a question. You would be prompted to log into to your account, or sign up for one if you have not registered.
Remember to categorise your question properly to allow others to find them. Do take time to read our Community Guidelines to understand the kind of questions you are allowed to ask.
2. How do I answer a question?
To view the questions you can answer, select the "iAnswer" icon on the top of the page. There, you will be able to view a full list of the most recently asked questions. Click on any of the questions to view the full details of the question, answers given by other members (if any), and select "Answer this Question" to share your answer. To view only the questions of a particular category, click on categories listed on the left. This opens up a list of the latest questions posted in that category.
3. What is the difference between an "Open" question and a "Closed" question?
"Open" questions refer to questions which are still open for answering. "Closed" questions are no longer available for answering, either because they have timed out, or when the asker has found his/her answer.
4. My question has been answered. What do I do next?
If you are satisfied with the answer(s) given by others, you can choose to close the question by selecting your "Top Notch!" answer - which is the answer that is closest to what you wanted. If you have not found the answer you are looking for, you can continue to leave the question open for answering. However, do take note that the question will automatically expire after a period of 3 months.
5. What is the "Report it!" button for?
When you find a particular question or answer violating our Community Guidelines, you can click on "Report it!" to alert us. Reported entries will be reviewed by our administrators. This will help to keep your experience in our community a pleasant and enjoyable one!
Currently, only our administrators and Gurus are allowed to make edits to articles. This helps to protect the integrity of our articles. Participate more to raise your ranks!
2. I edited the article but why are my changes not appearing?
All edits are subjected moderation. Please allow at least 3 working days to review and effect the changes.
3. Can I rate the articles?
Yes, you can! If you find an article very useful and informative, you can choose to rate it on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Rating the article will help promote it to others in the community!
4. What does it mean to "Digg this", "Add to del.iciou.us", "Stumble it", and "Share on Facebook"?
Good articles are meant to be shared! Clicking on each of these options will promote the article to the four external websites (Digg, del.iciou.us, Stumble, Facebook). Members in those communities would then be alerted on the useful contents you have discovered!
5. How do I search for articles?
To make your search easier, articles have been categorised and arranged for your convenience. It is just like visiting your local library! Alternatively, you can also utilise the 'Search' bar by typing in keyword(s) and select to search only within BigFactBook to get a list of relevant articles.
