My Xbox 360 wants to listen to jazz

Cast of Characters

Aristotle..............................................Xbox 360

Bubbles..............................................iPod Nano

S3........................................................Samsung MP3 Player

Sheylara.............................................Sheylara

Today, I finally gave Aristotle his Michael Bublé.

In fact, I gave him so much of it that he started asking for heavy metal.

Can't make up his darn mind, this boy.

Streaming music from PC to Xbox 360

I had already connected Aristotle to my PC yesterday, so today, I went back to the Media blade to play some music off my PC.

(The music files have to be stored in the PC's default "My Music" folder.)

Browsing my albums:

"What song would you like, Aristotle?"

"Um um um...! Something that will make me look cool playing!!!"

"Riiiiiight."

I picked Dream a Little Dream for him.

Select song:

Play song:

Playing!

"Wooooo awesome!!" cried Aristotle. "Look I can make colourful thingies!!"

"Aristotle," I said. "If you want to look cool and impress the chicks, you have to be a little more mellow than that."

"Oh."

The "Y" button gives full screen visualisation:

"WOAH BABY FAR OUUUUUT!!" yelled Aristotle. "I'M ROCKING!"

"Mellow, Aristotle."

"Oops."

I had to mellow him down a bit because I was going to introduce more friends to him and it wouldn't do for them to get scared off by his, um, enthusiasm.

Plugging an MP3 player into the Xbox 360

I wanted to find out if Aristotle would play files off an MP3 player, so I plugged my Samsung S3 into his USB port.

Press "X" button to change music source.

And there's my S3!

Select music:

I let Aristotle pick a song this time.

"Michael Bubléééééééééééééééééééééééé!" he whooped.

Aristotle picked "Home" and played it.

Then, I let him play the entire album while I went off to do my stuff.

When I came back, I found him sleeping like a baby.

"Wake up!" I said.

"Mmmbbblrmph."

"Wake up! We need to try something else now!"

"Zzzzzzzzzz."

I plugged my iPod Nano into Aristotle's other USB port.

"Oi!" He jumped awake and made a face at me.

"More jazz, my boy?"

"No. Let's play a game now."

"We can't," I said. "We have to do more testing. I want you to meet Bubbles, my iPod Nano.

Plugging an iPod into the Xbox 360

Aristotle can't resist a cute name, so he sprang to attention and made eyes at my iPod Nano.

"Hello, Bubbles!"

But he couldn't understand the language Bubbles was using, so I had to download a translater for him.

Go to the Marketplace Blade and select "Game Store".

Then "All Games".

Scroll down and look for "Optional Media Update" and download that.

Aristotle and Bubbles are in business!

(Press "X" to change music source and select the iPod.)

"Wassup, Bubbles," said Aristotle. "What say you and I play a song together?"

Gee... when did my bratty Xbox 360 become so smooth?
