My stint here at iTest is making me a couch potato.
Not that it's necessarily a bad thing. For one, Aristotle is deliriously happy because I'm spending a lot of time with him (since all my couch potato activities are focused on him).
He was especially excited today when I sprang a surprise on him.
"I'm going to let you watch YouTube videos today!"
"WOAH! Way COOL! My friends will be so jealous!!!"
To allow Aristotle to stream YouTube videos, we used a software called TVersity.
"I LOVE TVERSITY!" yells Aristotle.
"Yes, yes, I know. Be a good boy now and play your videos by yourself first while I finish up this blog, okay?"
"Awwwwww. OKAY."
Installing TVersity
1. Go to the TVersity site and download the software.
2. Double click the file you downloaded. If you don't like fuss, just let the Setup Wizard do everything.

3. Once done, TVersity will run.
Well, everything ran quite smoothly for me. But you might want to read the Quick Start Guide before installing just to be sure.
Connecting TVersity with your Xbox 360
1. If you have previously shared your PC to your Xbox 360, you'll need to open up Windows Media Player to stop the connection before using TVersity.
2. On TVersity, click on Settings, then select "Xbox 360" under the Media Playback Device drop-down menu.
That's all! Your Xbox 360 will recognise TVersity now.
I asked Aristotle whether he could see TVersity.
"Yeah," he said, "But it's not as cute as Bubbles."

Watching YouTube on your Xbox 360
1. On TVersity, click on Library, then "YouTube", then "Add Item".
2. I want to watch my own YouTube videos, so I selected "By User" then typed my YouTube username.
3. After submitting, you'll have to wait a few minutes for the requested info to be downloaded. I also added YouTube Top Favourites so I'll be able to watch random popular videos.

4. On your Xbox 360, go to the Media blade and select Videos.
5. Press X to change music source if you were previously connected to your PC, then select TVersity.
6. Now you can watch YouTube videos!
Some points to note
- The picture won't be clear because your TV is very likely running on a higer resolution than YouTube.
- You won't be able to search for videos like you do on your PC. You'll have to specify the video feeds you want through the TVersity client on your PC first.
- And it won't stream everything. It seems like 10 videos is the limit per "playlist". And, for some reason, it will only stream three videos from my YouTube channel, when I actually have 44 videos.
- Don't let your bratty Xbox 360 hog the TV watching videos all day, so make sure you set down some ground rules right from the start.
Playing one of my YouTube videos on TV
Some of the videos can be rewound and fast-forwarded. Some can't. Don't know why.

I'm afraid Aristotle is going to become a YouTube addict.
"NO. I WANT TO BE A YOUTUBE STAR!"
"Uh... you can't be a YouTube star. You're a gaming console."
"Why can't a gaming console be a YouTube star?"
"Because all you do is sit there all day. Who wants to watch a silly box sit there all day?"
"THAT'S BECAUSE YOU WON'T TAKE ME OUT FOR WALKS!!"
"But you're not a dog, Aristotle."
"See??! It's all your fault!!"
Huh?

Who can understand the logic of gaming consoles? (Especially bratty ones?)
