Colour your world with Xbox accessories
Wed, 17 Sep 2008 6:28 PM

I shall be talking about Xbox accessories today.

Aristotle bugs me every day to buy him more accessories. He must think money falls off the sky.

I wish it does. I would love to have more Xbox accessories (and iPhone accessories and fashion accessories and laptop accessories and...).

Drooling is free, though.

Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers Pink

If I find money falling off the sky one day, I will buy this pink controller, and then skin Aristotle pink to match!

Wahahaha.

I wonder what he'll think of that.

There are also other colours available:

These wireless controllers have a 30-foot range as well as vibration feedback.

I want to have four different colours so I can invite my friends over to play Tales of Vesperia with me. Each of us can have one colour! :)

Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack Pink

To match my pink controller, I'll need a pink battery pack!

Other colours available are blue, black and default white.

Each battery pack has a lifespan of up to 25 hours of play time.

Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel

I don't really play racing games, but if I had one of these, I would.

Aristotle would go nuts. He says every Xbox owner ought to have one because you can't be a gamer without a wheel.

I'm not quite sure how that equation works.

Let's just pretend that he's right. Sometimes, you have to let them win the small arguments.

Xbox 360 Faceplates

Haha. Let's give Aristotle a face lift with one of these.

There are tons of creative and cool faceplate designs out there but these are the four official ones sold off Xbox.com.

Special edition game-themed faceplates are also available periodically.

I need a pink one!

Xbox 360™ Wireless Headset

I've got one of these and I must say that it's really, really handy for voice chats in-game and out of game.

I love the wireless-ness of it. I can walk around the room while playing and talking with my ingame buddy without having to worry about tripping over wires.

Just remember to charge it often.

I was playing Gears of War with a friend once when the battery went dead in the middle of a boss fight. Needless to say, we died because of the loss of communication.

Another time, an Xbox LIVE friend "voice-called" me on Xbox LIVE for help on getting through a stage in Tales of Vesperia. Having the ability to voice chat really helped!

Oh, and Aristotle loves it when I use the headset because he can eavesdrop. He thinks that's "way cool".

What a rascal!

Xbox 360 Messenger Kit

This kit comes with a Chatpad and a wired headset.

I've talked about the Chatpad before so you know how useful it is. The wired headset can be plugged directly into the controller so everything functions as one unit.

I would say the Chatpad is the most important accessory to have if you're on Xbox LIVE.

Yup, that's why I put it last on my list.

There are a lot more accessories but I won't talk about them all because most of the rest are boring stuff like hard drives and HDMI cables. If you want to see them, click here!

That's all for today! Please let some money fall off the sky for me sometime soon. Thanks!

badtzzz: Yup, that's why I was given the task to talk about the Xbox even though it's not a new machine. Cos there are so many sides to the Xbox that most people don't know about! :)

peterpiper: Hehe... you're so funny. Well, the good thing about blogs is that they are archived, so, like, you can still read them. Um, like, read one a day and pretend they were just freshly posted? :P

konami: The Xbox in Singapore had an upgrade and price slash last month. The price went from $620 to $499 and the hard disk size went from 20GB to 60GB. Pretty great deal, if you ask me! :)

Xbox has just slashed the price in US. Not sure they will do the same here. It they do, it will be really an affordable game console for the gamers.
